Inspector: Must possess a degree from a recognized university or equivalent and must have the ability to read, write and speak Bengali (not required by the Nepali speaking candidates from the hill areas in the district Darjeeling).
Minority development officer: a degree from a recognized university or equivalent. Should be familiar with social customs and culture of minorities in West Bengal.
Research Investigator: A bachelor's degree with anthropology or economics and sociology. At least two years experience in economic research studies and analysis of data in an organization or Department of repute.
Fisheries extension officer: a 4-year bachelor's degree in Fisheries Science from a recognized university. Knowledge of fisheries, aquaculture, aquatic resources and fishing ports in West Bengal. Should be able to read and write Bengali or Nepali.
Inspector: not less than 20 years and not more than 32 years as on January 1, 2014.
Minority development officer: candidates should be in the age of not more than 32 years and not less than 18 years as on January 1, 2014.
Research Investigator: Not more than 32 years on the first day of January, 2014 relaxable by the candidate with exceptional qualifications and experience in the relevant field.
Fisheries extension officer: not more than 32 years on the first day of January 2014. Upper age limit is relaxable for persons holding substantive appointment under the government of West Bengal or the Government of India and also exceptionally well qualified experienced candidates in the relevant field. Inspector: Rs. 7,100 / - 37,600 / - and character Pay - Rs. 3900 / -

Fisheries extension officer: Rs. 7,100 / - 37,600 / - and character Pay - Rs. 3900 / -
All categories of candidates except scheduled caste / scheduled tribe / people with disabilities (40% and above only) must pay examination fees of Rs. 200 / - and treatment of Rs. 20 / - (total amount Rs. 220 / -) only.
Candidates belonging to scheduled caste / scheduled tribe / people with disabilities (40% and above only) to pay Fees Rs. 20 / - only that they are exempt from paying fees exam. However nominated candidates must produce their SC / ST / disabilities (40% and above) certificates issued by the competent authority at the time of confirmation.
Examination fees and / or charges must be paid to Tathya Mitra Kendra. Kendra takes charge Rs. 20 / -Additional to fill and send the scanned copies of the candidate's photograph and signature and online payment of examination fees and / or treat fees received from the applicant.
