The college was in 1970 in Gandhi Nagar Delhi administrator (now govt. Nct From Delhi) of grants from ugc and Delhi Administration for the specific purpose of providing oppurtunities for higher education for women in the trans Yamuna area. 25 October 1976by Professor S. Nurul Hasan was laid the foundation stone of the old building and the entrance (building 7) was devoted to Swami Ramkrishna Mission ranganathananda in 1979. College started in the school building with about 300 students ba (pass). Since then, the college has witnessed meteroic, increasing the number of students seeking admission to various courses of them. One of the less popular colleges in the field of trans Yamuna She grew to its current status, under the able leadership of the chief founder, Dr. Raj wadhwa and the first Chairman of the Governing Body, Mr. Kataria. Later the Chairman and members of the governing body and school directors added their valuable contribution to the growth and development of the college over the years. The college also inaugrated this new academic unit in April 2013. The College has developed a lovely garden, which makes the atmosphere for a healthy education & cultural events. Dedication, commitment and loyalty of employees of the organization of learning and teaching, along with the enthusiasm and the students' progress made over the years in many ways to bring the college in the current state. Today, the college offers nine courses with discipline and honor. Courses in the undergraduate level, two courses at the post graduate level and three courses add about 2,100 students.
