University of Mumbai created a frenzy among students B.Comm. because the results were not report till February 5. The results were announced after a delay of 24 hours. Ideally results should be declared within 45 days after the examination. Examination came on 28 November 2014.
Of 64,010 students cleared 65.28 percent exam. Price is 2013. Weight-age in internal examination was brought down by the university from 40 to 25. Then there are the evaluation pattern used to be 60-40, now 75-25 under the credit-based grading system. Although the new evaluation pattern can not take any percentage change.
"A" grade was awarded by 20 percent students and 'o' was secured with only 5 percent of the total number of candidates. One of the reasons not release results were that internal marks was not sent by the colleges to the University in time.
As quoted in the Times of India, Madhu Nair, said Dean of Commerce was "choice cause of the delay. Also, assessment and moderation must be done with lectures."
Examination controller, Dinesh Bhonde said: "TYBSc and TYBA is yet to be declared. Some of answer sheets for TYBSc is yet to be assessed. TYBA papers was postponed until January so the result will take time. "
