University Grants Commission orders instructed all central universities implement decisions based transfer system across all campuses next year.
The system will ensure the movement of students in higher education institutions in the country and abroad. Under this system the credit earned by a student and would be moved to help them looking migration from one institution to another.
When HRD minister announced Smriti Irani credit transfer scheme, she also expressed hopes that all central universities would adopt the new system for the next session.
Students, under this system, choose courses of their choice, learn at their own pace, submit to acquire more and more courses and credits necessary to adopt a holistic approach to learning.
The courses are of three types as the core, and Elective Foundation.
Universities have asked to implement a grading system that can work with the introduction of the transmission system based on the election. UGC has recommended a 10 point grading system is exercised evenly across the country, with 10 degree declared "outstanding" and Grade 9 points at 'A +'.
