The University Grants Commission has requested a report from universities across India with regard to the allocation of funds to ensure an environment for physically attacking students. The move came as a result of the decision of the Bombay High Court, which ordered to provide a barrier environment for disabled students in March 2015 directing director Commissioners for disabled center. Thousands of physically attacking students face difficulties in relation to pursuing education despite numerous policies and guidelines adopted from time to time. According to a newspaper report, "University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided that the general development assistance (GDA) grants to the university or institution an amount of Rs one lakh will be spent on education without barriers. Status report will in this regard be submitted within 15 d. "
Schools must have a friendly environment for disabled prividing needs. Universities should provide braille and talking books for the blind and sign language interpreters for deaf students to help.
