The Christian ideal of education is based on love, solidarity, the common good, truth and justice. We believe true education is a moral activity, which has at its heart the basic worth every person and faith in a higher general well to which one belongs, and each expresses through his humanity by God.
Education is both a spiritual and secular activities, which is inextricably linked with the process of becoming fully human and spiritual being. It seeks a synthesis of competence and conscience. The desire to learn is a vital component, but so too is the assertion of human dignity, the liberation of humanity from ignorance and empower the disadvantaged.
Thus, education is a creative and inspired activities, through which we can fully realize our human attributes, and help build a world where all people come and experience their humanity.
If, in practice, education is to produce people to compete in the labor market, it leaves the people and communities are fully prepared for many of the major components of a balanced and fulfilling life, as relationship, parenting, vocation, community building, self-expression and relaxation. Education should not only prepare students for the world of work, but for life and for the community.
Therefore, the purpose of education, based on Christian values is the formation and development of young people as communal beings living in a harmonious relationship with self, others, God and the environment. Such education seeks to nurture in each person a sense of self-respect and concern for others, is rooted in the assurance of God's love. Therefore, the true test of education is the student uses his or her gifts and talents do not become victims of possessiveness, individualism, fragmentation, consumerism and lack of care that a purely secular, market-oriented education can be filled, but becomes truly human and being socially responsible.
