BHOPAL: Rajiv Gandhi Proudhyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) in an attempt to minimize the risk of diversion of paper, decided to take the electronic route to send the various colleges for its offline test first semester bachelor of engineering, master of the computer program and the Bachelor of pharmacy. Exams are scheduled to begin on May 20.
The documents will be uploaded to the Web site and the College will be given a one-time password (OTP) via SMS to their registered mobile number for 30 minutes before the start of the examination. Colleges can download the paper and take the required number of copies.
The draft is currently being used for the first semester exams and will extend to all from the next session, University sources said.
About one lakh students to appear for the exams. RGPV Vice Chancellor Professor Piyush Trivedi said TOI, "we will upload the exam at our official website and to ensure that the codes of colleges. When using code, the colleges can download question papers and take a printout in accordance with their needs. "
To ensure transparency and confidentiality process, RGPV will appoint observers, mostly retired senior officers of the IPS who will station at various engineering colleges. The paper can be downloaded only in their presence, VC added.
All colleges, affiliated with RGPV was requested to ensure backup support as generators, high quality printers and card data have to be accommodated, "he said.
He said the process will reduce costs significantly. "The process of sending the documents to the appropriate police department colleges will end after the new system enters into force. It will also largely eliminate the possibility of diversion of paper, "said Trivedi.
As it became known, RGPV also posted a timer to send the documents. Colleges that have been given codes can download the exam only at the time.
