Advisor Deputy National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Jagannath Patil has been elected as president of the International Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), located in Barcelona, Spain. He will take office as the first president of the International Association of about 200 organizations working on the theory of practice quality assurance in higher education in March of Asian cum. The term of the current president Bobby and Carol Board is finished in March. Also, INQAAHE celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2015 where Patil will be the president of this international organization this time. Serve his term by three years as INQAAHE.
Patil was born and raised in the Titve Radhanagari Taluka of Kolhapur district and completed his graduation from the University of Shivaji. Recently, Patil won more votes than the delegates of Germany and the United Arab Emirates in a triangular survey. He gathered the support of Asian countries like Sri Lanka, Malaysia, South Korea, China, Pakistan, Russia and other European countries. According INQAAHE, received 60% of all votes.
Patil is currently president of Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN) higher education. According to a conversation with TOI, quoted, "I am pleased to represent India and Asia INQAAHE. I will use this opportunity to establish a global education portal for students around the world. Some countries and universities have remained control over the classification of global education institution. My efforts will provide an alternative to these classification systems, giving way to a global education portal so that students can access reliable information on higher education.
