Government's decision to purchase more land for expansion Ezhimala Naval Academy in Kerala did locals evil for which they are now protesting against the government.
The protests, under the auspices of the Committee of Action Ezhimala Saturday brought to the fore concerns of local residents about going to buy 500 more acres for the expansion of the Academy.

To a large extent of land already acquired for Ina remained unused, they added.
Among those who joined the long chain of the human 14-km were MLA C. Krishnan and TV Rajesh, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary p. Ramakrishnan, a leader of the Indian Union Muslim League Abdul VK Khader Molavi, Bharatiya Janata Party leader PK Velayudhan and local leaders of various cultural and religious organizations.
