Kerala Institute of Local Government (clubroot) provide training for 50 000 higher secondary school students in local government.
Minister of Social Welfare and panchayats MK Munir open the program in Thiruvananthapuram on November 18, said the director of KILA pp Balan. The function will be ministers VS Sivakumar and Rabb sc Abdou.
"The program aims to raise awareness among children of local government and to ensure their participation in the Panchayati Raj system. The program is part of clubroot efforts to improve public participation in local government", - he said.
The curriculum starts to Do selection of higher secondary schools across the state from November 25.
45-minute video about the "Power to the People" will be shown in every school in the framework of vocational training. The written examination will be conducted on the basis of the video screening. Students who win the first three positions will be selected for district-level exams.
Individual schools from all 14 regions will participate in the state-level competition. The written test will be conducted for them, and six teams will be selected for the final. The winners will receive a trophy and a certificate, 'said Mr. Balan.
State-level meeting of district coordinators and resource groups to test preparation for training was opened by Mr. Balan.
KILA Associate Professor J.B. Rajan, chaired the meeting.
