Kerala follows a unique system of recruitment, how hiring sub inspectors (local, armed reserve and APBn) and police constables (except for technical/semi-professional technical categories such as, PC, tape drivers, Carpenter, PC, etc.). In accordance with the recruitment methodology, system integrators in all three categories of Kerala public service Commission recruitment (KPSC). In the case of constables also, also set on the KPSC, and that too only for AP BNS.
In the case of police constables, vacancies are reported to the Commission public service of Kerala armed police battalions, and in the case of inspectors of police headquarters. On the basis of the same notification KPSC, is accepting applications from qualified candidates and selects them through competitive written test, physical test and interview. In the case of Police Constable, only a written test and a physical test is carried out. Candidates shall be appointed on the basis of the ranking lists prepared by the public service Commission.
(A) police constables: once you have selected the public service Commission, the selected Recruit police constables undergo training in various armed police battalions and a leading academic institution, the Academy of Kerala police, and passing out, join as AP battalion PC in battalions. Then they have the right to be transferred to the armed reserve (AR) camps districts subject to arisal vacancies in AR.
Police constables Armed reserve in each district are filled by transferring the relevant feeder battalions, based on parameters and length of service. Again, police constables armed reserve will be transferred to the local police, on the basis of the same criteria as appropriate.
This practice can help in maintaining the battalions manned by young and energetic, and the armed reserve constables and local with more seasoned and experienced police officers.
(B) a Sub inspector of police
Direct recruitment is only three categories in Kerala police
(I) Chief Executive
(II) the armed reserve
(III) armed police battalions
(I) the Chief Executive (SI, the local police)
50% of the vacancies are filled with moving among ASIS General Executive of the remaining 50% of the PMA is a direct recruitment through Kerala public service Commission, of which 10% is reserved for qualified police personnel and 10% for qualified personnel of the Police Department.
(II) the armed reserve (SI, armed reserve)-(RSI)
50% of the posts are filled by direct recruitment and 50% of the shares. Dialing rules sub inspector of police, General Executive, applicable to armed Reserve Sub inspectors also.
(III) armed police battalion (SI, AP-battalion)-(APSI)
25% of direct recruitment through the public service Commission, of which 10% are reserved for SC/HC. the rest will be inundated with careers.
