Admission degrees (b. Tech) for 2015 is based on the ranking list of all India (including class rank list) to be produced and published by the Central Board for 2015 secondary education (CBSE). This list ranking is based on the weighting of 60% of scores in the joint entrance examination JEE (Main) -2015 and 40% of scores normailised class 12 exams or other qualification.
Additional criteria for eligibility IIST bit b. Tech Admissions will be announced at a later date.
B. technology programs.
B.Tech (Aerospace Engineering) is a four-year degree program designed to graduate under the requirements of space technology and has significant overlap with mechanical engineering, including mechanical design and manufacturing Science dynamic space. This is similar to the programs of the same title available in many renowned institutions in India and abroad.
B.Tech (Avionics) is a graduate degree program under 4 years of study subjects comprised in electronics and communications engineering programs, in addition to the study of advanced electronics in Digital Communication Systems and Control systems used in aerospace systems.
B.Tech (physical sciences) is a graduate degree under 4 application-oriented basic science in space science and technology. The program provides a solid mathematics, physics and chemistry and gives exposure to important applications of space technology such as GIS and remote sensing, astronomy and astrophysics and Earth System Sciences
The total number of seats for the degrees in IIST is 156. The branch-wise distribution of seats is as follows:
B.Tech in aeronautical engineering: 60 places
B.Tech in avionics: 60 places
B.Tech in physical sciences: 36 seats
Reservation of seats
Candidates belonging to certain categories are allowed on reserved seats based on relaxed criteria, according to the rules of the government of India. Categories included are:
* Scheduled Castes (SC).
* Scheduled Tribes (ST).
* Other Backward Castes (OBC) belonging to the non-creamy layer (NCL).
* Physically Handicapped (PD).
