Maneklal Nanavati Law College ranks among one of the leading institutions in Gujarat Law Society Lal Darwaja, center of town Ahmedabad. In June 1961, the College inaugurated the first justice minister in the High Court of Gujarat, Hon'ble Mr. Justice KT Desai. College was the third Law College established by Gujarat Law Society to cater for society. College was only afternoon Law College in Gujarat Law Society at the time of creation. College was originally called "New Law College."
In year 1976, the name was changed at College "Maneklal Nanavati Law College" from the name of the lawyer shri Maneklal Nanavati. Late Shri Maneklal Nanavati was a prominent lawyer in the state of Gujarat, started his practice from a small village of Gujarat, jambus.
To spread legal awareness in society of weak educated and certification courses in law, to consider the citizens about their rights, forming a bridge between academic knowledge and professional practices, developing and distributing research culture in the region and to maintain the rule of law to ensure the ends of justice.
In Gujarat University women's development cell: Regulatory, 2005 College constituted its Collegiate Women Development Committee (CWDC) on December 30, 2005.
Eligibility: Any graduate from a recognized university are eligible to apply for admission into the program.
Admission: Candidates are short-listed on the basis of performance in the qualifying examination.
