Many restoration and conservation projects of various departments of the government, the government of Tamil Nadu decided to conduct a six-week course in conservation and restoration of monuments for engineers lacking in the necessary skills. Based on the recommendations of 13 finance commission, Rs 90 crore has been Apartadme for renovation of more than 200 temples without altering heritage value.
In the last three years give 183 temples Rs 67.50 crore as part of the Finance Commission grants? s. this year, the government has approved Rs 22.5 crore for 46 temples. As for secular monuments, outstanding projects related to restoration of Kalas Mahal Chepauk and the National Gallery of Art building Egmore. The course will be required in two groups and engineers who work with HR & CE department, the Archaeological Survey of India, IIT, Madras University and State Department of Archaeology and Museums.
