Angry teachers of exemplary schools and colleges stormed the Federal Government on Friday for alleged "favouritism and nepotism in the regularization of the 65" blue-eyed teachers.
More than 200 teachers, including women, entered the building FDE forcing officials, including directors and other employees to escape from the building. They described the injustice to the worthy teachers say it's biased decision was made by a few people for their own interests.
"I have been working as a teacher for the past three years, and the list includes the names of those who had been appointed just three months ago," said Rashid Mahmood, lecturer at Islamabad model College for boys, G-6/3.
The list includes the names of the two sons of the Chief at the IMCB F-8/4 as a lecturer and lab in charge, respectively, in the same College in the basic salary scale 12.
Mahmud told the newspaper the Express Tribune, one of the sons of the principal has a permanent job in the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission and taught the class for two years, despite the fact that his name was not included in the previous list.
The reason in the Notes box for the non-inclusion of his name in the previous list was given as "not in the preceding list, as the same have not been submitted in time".
The list, prepared in February, contains the names of many teachers, but only "special people" were included in the final list.
Some of the daily rates have already been settled with the benefit of hindsight. Some never appeared in the colleges.
"Model College, Director of the City Department and Joint Secretary and Advisor to the Minister of Development of CAD with some principles of 12 March, completed the names of their loved ones," said the teacher on condition of anonymity.
She claimed that one of the teachers, a relative of the Federal Minister, was appointed to the Federal installation instead of model College, to avoid disputes, because it is not taught anywhere.
It is interesting that the teacher qualification and date also does not appear in the list.
"Many of the names included in the list of friends and relatives FDE employees, directors and Deputy Directors of schools," said Tanveer, another protesting teacher.
Later in the evening, when the teachers refused to leave the building, the police arrived at the scene and told them to vacate the building, but they refused. "We will not leave until the senior official would not come and convince us of something specific."
Two days ago, when teachers first heard about "illegal" regularization, they protested in front of the CAD Secretary Rifat Shaheen Qazi, who assured them of "injustice" would be considered.
Model College Director Tariq Masood told the newspaper the Express Tribune that the list has not been finalized yet.
Many teachers were directly recruited by colleges, and they have to go through a validation process for degrees and all other related documents, he added.
