Dr Goh Keng Swee scholarship (GKS) is a private grant administered by the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS).
Each year, 3 to 4 scholarships are awarded to outstanding people 15 Asia-Pacific economies (Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, PRC, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos Burma) to continue graduate studies in local universities in Singapore namely the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Management University (SMU) and Singapore University of technology and Design (SUTD).
Dr. GKS Scholarship Fund was established by the Economic Community of Singapore in honor of the former prime minister, who promote economic development and growth as an internationally renowned financial center of Singapore.
The scholarship is open to students Dr GKS whose citizens / passport Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos and Burma. Singapore citizens and PRs are not eligible to apply for the scholarship GKS Dr.
Concurrently apply for NUS, NTU, SMU and SUTD. We will consider most courses (except specialized courses in Medicine). Applicants must adhere to the deadlines for admission to the University and guidelines;
Demonstrate leadership qualities and possess good academic achievements and co-curricular (CEC);
They sat for private or refuses to sit for the SAT. (DS 1 for more information and registration for the test, see the website of the School Board)
Term and conditions of the concession
The grant supports a maximum of 4 years of undergraduate studies (including awards).
Provides as follows:
Tuition and other mandatory fees;
Airfare (Singapore and return to the country after the end of study);
Allocation of annual maintenance SGD6500;
Shelter allowance based on the institution of study; and
Settling in subsidy costs (specific) of SGD200 on arrival in Singapore.
The scholarship award will be reviewed annually and is subject to satisfactory performance and academic results.
Allowed will work for 3 years at the end of their studies in either:
A certified company in Singapore; and
A company located in Singapore approved in their home country
The deployment of interns to serve their ties will be determined by Dr. GKS scholarship fund.
