Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
Duration: - one year
Eligibility: -all such students who do not have degree certificate for BA / B.Sc / B.Com or MA / M.Sc. / M.Com. and migration certificate at the time of admission are directed retrieve these documents from concerned quarters one earlier so that they are eligible to appear in B.Ed. examination of University of Jammu, otherwise their admissions shall makeshift and their results held by held under DE (disputed Eligibility) category.

Paper-III School Management and Pedagogy education
Paper-IV development of education in India
Paper-V one of the following:
a) essentials of educational technology
b) information ad communication technology
c) guidance and counseling
d) educational measurement and evaluation

Paper VI and VII content-cum-methods of teaching all of two School subjects from the following groups
Group-I teaching English, Hindi / Punjabi
Group II teaching in social studies
Group III teaching General Science
Group IV teaching mathematics
Students will have to choose some two topics to choose no more than one from each of the above.
Practice of teaching
The practice of teaching is another important part of the teacher training program this component is further classified into four components.
1. micro teaching
2. macro instruction
4. final practice of teaching
For micro teaching students classified into different groups and member of each group easily competence after a simulated condition in college.
1. skill enhancement
2. skill stimulus variation
3. skill questioning
4. skill lecturing
5. skill illustration with examples
Preparation of teaching aids
Teacher trainees are given practice of preparing various learning aids related to school teaching subjects offered by them. For this purpose, the seminar held and diagrams, models and other teaching aids prepared by old students displayed.
For macro teaching students classified into groups and sent to practicing schools with the supervisor. Pupil teachers are given orientation and demonstration of macro lesson of expert teachers in the subject using RCEM approach lesson planning are observed and discuss the student teachers before the macro instruction.
Each B.Ed students give 20 lessons 10 in each course and two criticisms lesson.
Pupil teachers observed 20 lessons delivered by peer teacher and maintain record for observation lessons on their practical note book.
Apart from teaching experience in school, teacher trainee to function as a regular teacher at a school thats participate in morning assembly, maintain attendance, attending staff meetings, maintain stock register and attendance register, issue transfer certificates, write letters / messages, execution of co-curricular activities, observe lessons teachers in practicing schools and other allied activities that help them improve their professional competence.
