Medical students College (CMC) Cochin plan to start agitation, demanding absorption of college by the state government. According to student leaders lack of qualified teachers, especially in the departments of preclinical, can be solved only if the government takes the college. "Once it is transferred, only qualified and experienced person may be appointed for teaching," they said.
Although the state government announced the capture of CMC in April this year, nothing has been done so far, with the exception of asset liability report prepared by the district collector and the formation of a committee to study it.
