Civil Supplies Department of the State Government of Kerala has launched an online system for filing applications for new cards. The applicant must use the "Citizen Enter" (link external) on civilian Supply website to access the service. After filling in all the details online in Malayalam, printing from forms should be submitted together with the relevant documents at the Taluk supply for verification.
The new ration card can be issued within one day, if all the documents on the spot. Those who do not have Internet access can go to the nearest centre of Akshaya to the service, which will also accept the form.

What is the procedure for the ration cards in Kerala?
To apply online ration card in Kerala, Kerala visit the civil Supply website (external link) and sign up as an applicant. Before you fill out the online registration form please read the following items carefully:
If you have a ration card, register on the website by entering the barcode number, which is on the last page of the card.
If you don't have a ration card, select No.
Fill out the information and submit the registration form.
The activation link will be displayed. Click on the "Activate your account to activate your account.
Log in using the user ID and password that you entered in the registration form.
If you don't have a ration card, three features are available for you (issuance of new cards, certificate of incorporation Number and Non certificate update)
If you have a ration card, thirteen functions will be displayed.
Click on the desired function.
Click on the link "new application".
Fill out the form with correct data.
Download all mandatory scanned documents only in PDF-file with a size of less than 250 KB in an application.

Take a printout of the application that you submitted, for further proceedings. Note the number of applications and the date.
The following information will only display your application has been successfully submitted.
Send original documents, application printout and application fees, including the cost of cards in Office supply Taluk (TSO) for review and further action.

Purchase application form from TSO/DSO Office by paying RS. 5.
Apply to your Office Taluk supply filled to form and your old cards.
If you do not belong to the same TSO/CRO then produce the following documents together with the application.
Residential certificate issued by the LOCAL Office (Panchayat/Municipality/Corporation)
Surrender of certificate/reduction/non-renewal of the certificate from the TSO where you belong in the past.
Income certificate issued by Village officers.
After checking the details of your new card will be issued within 15 days.
