Results of the common admission test (CAT) 2014, the gateway to PGDM programs to IIMs the terms of Chandragupta Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) recording session 2015-16 to the flagship two-year full-time post-graduate program in Management (PGP). Candidates in CAT 2014 can apply now recording on CIMP. The application process will remain open until December 17, 2014.
Chandragupta Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) is one of the most sought after B schools in and around Patna. The department has made it mandatory to appear in CAT 2014 for admission 2015-16. Apart from IIMs, most popular university-based and private B schools accepting CAT score. Some of these premier B-schools, SPJIMR, MDI, AS, FMS, BIMTECH among many. CAT 2014 is scheduled to be held on 16 November and 22 November 2014 more than 99 test cities in India. CAT 2014 registration process closes on 30 September 2014 CAT 2014 aspirants from registration and appear in CAT 2014 have to use CIMP to seek admission in 2015-16 session.
Admission process at CIMP
Qualified candidates will appear for cat 2014 and plan to take admission to two year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) at CIMP for batch 2015-17 can use or send the completed and duly signed application form to the Admissions Office of CIMP last of December 17, 2014 .
The registration fee
Application information can be obtained from CIMP, between 17 September to 15 December 2014 by paying Rs.1000 / - (or Rs.200 / -SC / ST candidates). Application forms can also be filled and presented online at CIMP website (http://www.cimp.ac.in) along with online payment of application fee of Rs.1000 /. Candidates may submit an application form by CIMP disk by hand or by mail. Applicants are advised to check their application status on CIMP website regularly.
3 Steps admission process includes GDPI & WAT
Selection of candidates for admission to the 2015-17 pile of PGP on CIMP will be a three step process
1) candidates will first be shortlisted on the basis of their cat 2014 score.
2) academic profile and work experience candidates will also be considered for short-listing.
3) shortlisted candidates will be called for Essay Test, Group Discussion and personal interview / interaction. Candidates will be notified by courier / speed-post / registered post / e-mail.
Admission offer letter will be sent to people in March 2015.
Taking the CIMP
Admissions for 2015-17 session flagship program would be 60 students of CIMP.
Eligibility for PGP at CIMP
The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% for candidates belonging to scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (m) and Differently abled (DA). () is also called persons with disabilities (PWD) category], of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by Parliament or declared deemed under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 or have an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry HRDAv government of India.
CIMP uses CAT score for short-listing candidates for the post graduate program in management. But IIMs have no role in the selection process or the execution of the program at CIMP. The criteria are the same as required in CAT 2014.
CIMP has unique reservation criteria
The dissolution of the reservation policy in CIMP is as follows:
General category-50%, SC 16%, ST 01%, EBC-18% BC-12%, women in BC-3%.
Among all categories, 50% of the total seats reserved for students who qualify as residence of Bihar (only residents) and 3% of the total seats for persons with disabilities (PWD).
Fee Structure at CIMP
Overall program year 2015-17 Rs. 5.00 lakhs excluding deposit and mess Hostel costs. Than tution fee, students pay their own boarding and lodging expenses.
Rooms rent (single seater) is Rs. 4000 / -per month and mess bill will be based on actual contributory basis, estimated currently at Rs. 4000 per month. All students are expected to bring their own laptop computers running Windows operating system.
First term fee includes deposit of Rs. 25,000 / - refundable on completion of two years PGDM course. Refund policy of the Institute of the withdrawal / cancellation admission is per AICTE rule.
Education loan B school
The Department has established tie-ups with leading nationalized banks to provide education loans to the desired students, who are subject to their ability to fulfill the terms & conditions respective banks for availing loans.
