Class 12 maths paper was conducted by Central Board of secondary education (CBSE) on March 18.2015.
Enraged students and parents have been constantly demanding to assess 'grace' marks, since examination proved to be a disaster. Candidates were discouraged by the question paper as they found the long and very difficult.
Geeta Kapoor, HOD Mathematics, Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi says that 50 percent of the paper was not very comfortable (average student will also pass the exam). "NCERT main teaching material was not sufficient for such a high standard question," said the expert.
Many students who appeared for the mathematics examination said that the question paper was of IIT level and there was a four and a half hour question paper instead of three hours.
Students had asked teachers to write to CBSE follow leniency while checking the paper and give grace marks. Then the board held a meeting with some of the affiliated school, and it was reported that the Board may consider doing the checking papers milder.
